Before AfterBefore

After

Getting ready to sell your home?  Appearance is everything.  But hiring a professional "stager" to prepare the home for prospective buyers can be very costly.

Fortunately, homeowners can take matters into their own hands.  A fresh coat of paint on the walls can go along ways in selling your home.

One way to sale sell your house faster is by adding a new paint color which is a low-cost but effective way of showcasing your home.  The colors that potential buyers see when they enter your home should be neutral so that the buyers will not be distracted by someone else's style.  The potential buyers should see the walls of your home as a project of their own preferences and style. But "neutral" doesn't necessarily mean white.  Using subtle color can enhance the buyer's experience, so repaint walls that have strong colors with rich neutral colors.

If your wallpaper has a distracting design or is outdated, remove it and add a fresh coat of paint for a more current, updated look.  A low-sheen product will help reduce the imperfections on walls and ceilings. Light, clean, organized spaces appear larger.  So clean and de-clutter, and give your walls a fresh coat of paint in a light neutral color to bring the room to life and make it seem more expansive.

entrance to your home

“You never get a second chance to make a first impression.”

The appearance of the entrance.  You only have one time to make an impression.  When friends or guest walk up to your house the outside is the first thing they see.  Then it transition to the inside of the home.  A glossy paint rich in color for the front door, new hardware or clean the existing hardware.  Also, clean the porch lights, porch (any spider webs etc.) and mailbox.  Go buy a new seagrass mat and seasonal flowers for the landing area will improve you’re the entrance way to your house and it will make your guest feel welcome.
